Many of our staff were once Wahines themselves! We are excited to welcome the diversity of youth from our community to find a home with us at the beach.
We are currently registering for a full range of programs to accommodate weekday and weekend schedules for sessions that begin in September. There are no gender restrictions in any of our sessions. We want your child to participate in the gender group that they feel most comfortable. Generally we will have Co-Ed Programs, girl-centric and boy-centric. Our programs are all things ocean for all levels and experience in the ocean. We will provide participation in ocean play, boogie boarding and surfing. All equipment will be provided along with wetsuit if needed. All students are required to purchase a Wahine Project Rashguard prior to participation for $25. We offer Rashguard Scholarships. Just contact us if that would be helpful for your family. Participants will be broken up into age groups to provide an amazing time at the beach to develop their relationship with the ocean, make new friends and be inspired to help take care of the sea! Go to our FAQ Tab to get commonly asked questions answered. Please contact us if a scholarship would be helpful for your family. We offer full and half scholarships for all of our programs . We DO NOT REFUND for cancellations but will give you credit for future programming. Please read all forms carefully before you sign them on the Registration Link. Please refer to the FAQ's where we answer commonly asked questions.

South County Registration Links!
With our Whale Tale Grant through the Coastal Conservancy we will be able to continue free programming for our South County Community. Sessions will be offered with transportation 2 Saturdays per month. Youth are able to attend sessions the first two Saturdays of the month through December
Sessions are 10-12. Transportation will pick up in Soledad at 8:45 and in Gonzales at 9. Participants will get dropped back off approximately 1 and 1:15. Family members are always welcome to come to the beach with participants to enjoy a morning at the beach.
We have an opportunity that we would like to extend to our previous participants who are 14 and up. We would like you to be a participant 1 time per month and we hope that you would like to become a volunteer for the other week. We would like to train you to become a leader at The Wahine Project! The youth in your community need role models and we would love to have you in a Yellow Rashguard on the beach. You don't need to have any advance ocean or surfing skills. Because you have participated with us before you have what is necessary to share with someone else. We will also train you in safety and in how we run things so you can be a part of our team. After you have volunteered for the school year we can hire you when you turn 15.
